Raza Photos and Raza Music are designed to work entirely offline and within your home network. Your photos, your music, your metadata, your browsing habits, and your device information are never seen by us — because they are never sent anywhere.

    What the apps access and why

    Raza Photos and Raza Music need access to certain things on your device to function. Here is exactly what, and why:

    You explicitly choose which folders to import. The app reads your files and indexes their metadata. It does not copy, move, or modify your files unless you explicitly trigger a metadata save. The Mac uses Bonjour to advertise the library on your local network. iOS and iPadOS devices use Bonjour to discover it. All traffic stays within your home Wi-Fi — nothing is routed through any external server. Features such as face detection and reverse geocoding (turning GPS coordinates into city and country names) in Raza Photos run entirely on the device. No photo, coordinate, or audio file is sent to an external service.
