Open the Transfer sheet and pick a destination. Every Mac on your network with incoming transfers enabled shows up automatically, using the same Bonjour discovery that powers browsing. From then on, just browsing your library is enough — every photo and video that hasn't made it to the destination yet quietly sends while you scroll through your memories, no extra step required.

• iOS only lets transfers run while the app is open, so keep it in the foreground while browsing to let it catch up

Allow photo transfer in Permissions is on by default, so any device can send to a library. Turn it off on a device you don't want feeding the home library, and it's cut off entirely — no destination selection can override it.

This is really a parenting control first. A kid's phone or tablet takes pictures all day long, and you don't want every one of them landing in the home library. Turn off Allow photo transfer on that device and nothing it captures can be sent over, no matter what the child does in the app.

On the Mac, Transfer settings control the receiving side: a single toggle to allow incoming transfers, a destination folder, and how incoming files are organized once they arrive.
